Fernando Campagnola (current owner of the Corte Archi winery) in Valgatara in the Veneto area is the fourth generation to run the winery. He owns 8 hectares of lush vineyards on Valgatara and all are located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level.
The name IS is the name of the current owner's firstborn "Isabella".
The grapes are hand-picked in mid-September. After this, the grapes are placed in wooden boxes for exactly 110 days where they got a completely natural drying without the use of any kind of dryers. The first week in January starts a slow and natural fermentation process of 40 days before the wine came first for 12 months in Slovenian 750 liter barrels and then on French 225 liter Barriques also for 12 months to finish with 17 months on new French oak barrels. A total of 42 months of aging in wooden barrels and then a 4-5 months in bottle before shipping from the vineyard to us.
Only 2,500 numbered bottles of this amazing Amarone are made
All bottles are therefore numbered.
Description of the wine .:
Intense deep ruby red color, tendency to garnet. Intense and persistent, bouquet abundant, with aromas of cherry, bitter almond, vanilla, warm, full-bodied taste, elegant, round and velvety soft.
